The following tables give a list of descriptors that are available to configure your KoriBlast to install public databanks.

Their use is quite simple: click on the Download Descriptor link, save the file on your disk drive, switch to the Databank Manager of KoriBlast, click on the [Import] command and select the saved file; as soon as the descriptor has been imported into KoriBlast, you can delete that file.

An important reminder

Installing a databank may take some time because KoriBlast does a lot of operations to prepare the data: download files from (buzy) remote servers, uncrompress files, convert to Fasta, convert to Blast databanks, index features (annotated databanks only), etc. All of these steps are done automatically, but they are highly relying on the availability of public institute servers, as well as your web connection speed and computer performance.

Depending on the size of the databank, installation may take from a few minutes (PDB) up to two days or more (Genbank Core Nucleotide). It is advised to install large data set at nights (US time zone for NCBI, Europe time zone for EBI) or during week-ends.
