System Requirements

Korilog softwares are available for use on the following operating systems:

linuxlogo.png All recent Linux systems should be fine
Intel or AMD processor, 32 and 64 bits
winlogo.png

Windows XP, Vista, Seven / Windows Server 2003 or above
Intel or AMD processor, 32 and 64 bits

maclogo.png MacOS-X 10.5 or above.
Intel 64 bits processors.

For all operating systems, a javalogo.png Java Virtual Machine (JVM) 1.6.0 or above is required, and we recommend a screen resolution of 1680 by 1050 pixels or above.

Considering KoriBlast, 8Go of RAM and multi-core processors are highly recommended, especially if you run local Blast searches. The software may require very large disk space (up to 500 Go or even more) if you plan to manage your databanks using the Databank Manager (KoriBlast 3.x). Please note that memory settings (i.e. RAM use) can be fully configured. Have a look at our support where you will find articles concerning memory configuration for all operating systems.

Considering the Korilog Bioinformatics Extension for Knime, a KNIME Desktop Platform release 2.4+ is required.

The KoriBlast Connector available for High Performance Infrastructure running Blast on a Cluster or a Grid is usually installed on a server node running a J2EE Application Server (Tomcat). This Connector works with SGE and PBS. It is worth noting that KoriBlast may use MPI-Blast if you have it installed on your Cluster/Grid.

You can read this document to verify which JVM is installed on your system.
